 December 1 - begins the countdown to Christmas.  Imagine the angels that awaited the birth of the SON of GOD that blessed night in Bethlehem.  Were the angels counting down for gifts, food, parties, stockings, Santa's sleigh bells, or snow?  No, they were aware of the time and circumstances arriving at their fullness.  They celebrated the redemptive plan of a patient and LOVING GOD.  They felt the anticipation of the Creator as he moved to redeem all of HIS creation back to himself.

Praise GOD from whom all blessings flow!

I hope all is well for you and your families.

It is now time to plan Kids Camps 2010.  Our camps were wonderful this year, that is why I am so excited to start planning next year's camps and program lineup.  I am searching for more camp locations so that more of you will be able to attend.  There is no experience like the Kids Camp experience. 

I understand that the distance is a major factor.  So, that is why I am trying to locate accessible locations for every area of our district.  No child or children's worker should be denied the life changing experience of camp.

My hope is to make camp available for every one of our churches with a strong menu of choices to meet your calendar needs and financial restraints.  My desire is to present a program that will build on top of all the other years.  How am I going to do that?  By letting GOD do the planning.  Because I am very limited and God already has a plan anyway.

If you haven't been to Kid's Camp or you haven't attended in a long time, check us out again and be looking for our camp packet coming to a mailbox near you!

My name is Nikki Rogers and I am the new Director of Children's Ministries for the District of Northern California and Nevada Assemblies of God.

Many of you have been faithful to the children of your church for years and I appreciate your selfless labor for the Lord.  God loves his children deeply and he has entrusted you with lives to impact for eternity.

Some of you are just starting out on the journey of children's ministry.  Thank you for taking the step of faith to join the team of workers in the ripe and ready harvest field of lives for the Kingdom.  Children are a precious treasure for us to handle with care and wisdom.  Your ministry is vital!

The Children's Ministry Department at the District Resource Center wants to assist you in this task.  I am new to this position, but there are some tools already been in place and have helped churches.  My desire is to strengthen these areas of ministry resources and make them available to more churches, as well as, create even more.

I want you to know that I am praying for you! Ministry to children may be under-appreciated - but is absolutely necessary.  The Lord wants to move in this generation like never before.  He has a something fresh and creative for our children.  Therefore, prayer is of the essence.
