NCN KIDS

Nikki Rogers recently was appointed to serve the district as the director for Children's Ministries.  Her and her husband, Kenny, have been in ministry for over 27 years.  They have served in a variety of ministries at a few different churches.  The Lord has blessed them with five wonderful children, two incredible in-laws and two grandsons.

Nikki has been involved and held many positions in the church including; teacher, tot-teacher, nursery worker and coordinator, Sunday School superintendent, VBS administrator, training of volunteers, principal, curriculum development, curriculum writer, child advocate, special program director, camp director and music/choir director.

Her desire is to assist the workers of our district in any way she can.  If you have any questions or just want to say, "HI" email Nikki. 

Amanda Kelderman serves as the Children's Ministries Administraive Assistant as well as the BGMC Coordinator. She has been serving in this position since June, 2007. Amanda first served as part of the Children's Ministries (then Church Development and Education) Team as a Kids Camp C.I.T (Counselor in Training) in 1999. Amanda is passionate about resourcing Children's Ministries in the Northern California and Nevada District.

Kelly Einsel is the Girls Ministries(formerly Missionettes) Coordinator for the Northern California and Nevada District of the Assemblies of God. She has been serving our district in this capacity since November, 2006. Prior to this, Kelly started Missionettes at her home church, Horizon Christian Fellowship, in 1999 and was the coordinator until God "increased her territory" by moving her to her current District position. She currently serves on the Women's Leadership Team at Horizon and is also a member of the District Women's Ministries Advisory Board.

Now as the Girl's Ministries Coordinator, Kelly's passion has become deeply rooted in the results of mentoring girls through Mpact Girls Clubs and Teen Girl Ministries (formerly Missionettes Girls Clubs). She is looking forward to showing churches how this ministry can be used in many ways to reach girls for Jesus. Through Mega Training, an annual Coordinator Seminar, Sectional Rallies, Evangelism events like the national sleepover, summer camps and celebrations, Mpact Girls Clubs and Teen Girls Ministries will be full of trained leaders, committed families and girls who are excited about who they are in Jesus Christ.

Phillip McWilliams serves as the District Royal Ranger Commander.

Royal Rangers is an incredible ministry to the boys of our district as well as the men.  Commander Philip has a heavy burden on his heart for this ministry and he is diligent about strengthening the many outposts of our district and assisting in setting up new ones.

Networking and Events

Joyce Baergen is the Children's Pastor at Harvest Church in Elk Grove, CA. She has been in full-time ministry for ten years, serving in Children's Ministry, Christian Education, and Church Administration. Joyce enjoys ministering to children and their families, and has had opportunities to speak at District Kid's Camps, Leadership Conferences, and Women's Ministry events.

Her desire is to help strengthen families so that children can know the Lord at a young age, and walk with Him all the days of their lives.

Junior Bible Quiz and Curriculums

Gerry Galbreath joined the Pastoral Staff of Calvary Temple Worship Center in 2004. Gerry has served in ministry for over 20 years, in this time  Gerry has had the privilege of training many other people who are now pastoring all over the country. He is also in the process of writing a book on children's ministries to help other churches and individuals reach their full potential in ministry to children.
Gerry's goal is to teach children to be participants in ministry and not spectators only. If they can learn to love ministry as children they will carry it into their adult lives.

Early Childhood

Tisha Cluck-Gutierrez is the Early Childhood and Nursery Ministries Coordinator for Harvest Church since 2004. She as serves as the Assistant Girl’s Ministries Coordinator and has work experience in the public, private, and church establishments for over 20 years.

Tisha has served as a lecturer for the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI)and at the NCN Connect Conference as well as being a member of the NAEYC since 1996. (National Assoc. of the Education of Young Children). Tisha is a PK (Pastor’s Kid) who is joyfully serving Jesus. Walkin’ the walk and talkin’ the talk- livin’ Jesus out loud!

Outreach Programs (Character Connex, Kids Quest, KidzMax Live)

James live in Susanville with his wife Ronda and their 3 kids, where he serves as the Children's Pastor at Susanville Assembly of God. He also serves as a special events coordinator for the local county office of education, planning community-wide and school-wide events, where he is responsible for the largest one-day event in the county.

Having served as a workshop leader, camp speaker, and leadership development consultant; James desires to see people reach their full potential and to serve with passion using their God given gifts and talents.

Children's Ministry Advocacy

In 2003, Drew Hynson graduated from Central Bible College (in Springfield, Mo) with a degree in Youth Ministry/Bible.  He is currently serving at Grace Community Church in Elk Grove, California as the children’s pastor.  Drew has a heart to see children come to know God in a real and powerful way.  His desire is that everyone would also share this same burden.

Pre-teen Ministry

Sean Sweet joined the staff of Sunset Christian as the Children's Pastor in July 2003 after teaching 4th and 5th grade in the Western Placer Unified School District for seven years. After only a few months it became apparent to Sean that the younger and older elementary aged kids have very different needs. He started painting a vision of ministry specifically for 4th and 5th grade students.

Sunset Christian Center now has a Preteen Ministries, seperate from Children's Ministries. As the full time Preteen Pastor, Sean is developing an incredible ministy targeting soley preteens.

Volunteers

Lisa K Shaull graduated from Northwest College in Kirkland, WA in 1998. (Now called Northwest University) She holds a degree in Church Ministries/ Children’s Ministries. Lisa  began her ministry as a children’s pastor in Southern California in 1998 and now serves in Northern California as a children’s pastor.

Lisa has spoken at retreats, conventions, VBS, Leadership Conferences, Power Surge, Kids U, Kids Camp and Various AG District Events. She has been in Full Time children’s ministries over 10 years. Lisa is married to her wonderful husband Thomas.  Thomas and Lisa have an adopted daughter Jasmin Angel Shaull and welcome the idea of adding more children to their family through adoption in the near future.  Email Lisa

 Training

Lynn has been involved in Children's Ministry since 1975, beginning as a volunteer in a small church. Her desire to make the Bible come alive for children sparked her interest in using puppets, object lesson and interactive storytelling. Lynn has a passion to disciple, train, and inspire others to reach kids and make the Bible relevant to them. For the past twenty years she has served as a Children's Pastor and is currently at Valley Community Church in Sacramento.
